How it works
Keyboard shortcuts
- Numbers and + − × ÷: the usual keys (* and / for × and ÷)
- Enter or = : calculate
- Backspace: delete the last entry · Esc: clear
- ^ : power · ( ) : brackets · % : percent · ! : factorial · p : π
Order of operations
The calculator follows standard mathematical order: brackets first, then powers, then multiplication and division, then addition and subtraction. So 2 + 3 × 4 is 14, not 20. Missing closing brackets are added automatically when you press =.
Degrees and radians
Trigonometric functions use degrees by default, so sin(30) = 0.5. Press DEG to switch to radians for calculus and physics, where sin(π/6) = 0.5.
Memory and Ans
M+ adds the current result to memory, M− subtracts it, MR recalls it and MC clears it. Ans is the last answer, and starting a new expression with an operator continues from it.
